Township citizen app now active

The notification app for Fenton Township residents is now live.

On Friday, Oct. 25, the township launched the app titled My Fenton Township, the citizen notification app. The municipality will use this app to communicate with residents about emergencies, traffic/road closures, events and more.

During the Tuesday, Oct. 29 Fenton Township Board of Trustees meeting, Supervisor Vince Lorraine said the app can be downloaded for free from the Apple store or Google Play store.

“This app will provide a variety of notifications as well as easy access to specific pages to the township’s website,” Lorraine said. “Just another step the township’s taking, that the board supported, to communicate with our residents.”

Lorraine said the app will contain information about the township and municipality news.

“Hopefully within the next year or so we will have the majority of residents on this app,” Lorraine said.
