The City of Escanaba launched its new app for people to have one place to do everything.
MyEscanaba is available to download for Apple and Android devices. Residents can view topics like community events, road closures and job opportunities in one spot.
Users can also look at meeting agendas and pay their bills.
Escanaba City Manager Jim McNeil said most people use their phones for everything, and not everybody looks at a press release.
“Having it right on their phone with a notification makes it easy that they will receive it, and you can also edit the notifications so you only receive what you want to,” McNeil said.
McNeil said the city saw a need to reach people with information on future projects. He added that the app makes information more accessible.
